Shaping a Resilient Future
About the
Caribbean Climate & Energy Conference
The second edition of the Caribbean Climate & Energy Conference is scheduled for May 2025 in Curaçao. Building on the success of the inaugural event in Aruba in 2023, this conference is crucial for fostering collaboration, exchanging knowledge, and initiating concrete steps to address climate change resilience both regionally and globally.
In close cooperation with the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, Curaçao is fully prepared to host this significant event.
In a world where the climate narrative often seems bleak, there is hope. By leveraging our collective expertise and resources, we can safeguard our islands for future generations. This conference is not just an event; it is a call to action for all who are committed to creating a resilient and sustainable Caribbean.
Importance
The relevance of this conference transcends regional boundaries, aiming for a global impact. As a Small Island Developing State (SIDS), Curaçao is acutely aware of its vulnerability, particularly in securing the financial resources and investments necessary to achieve our climate goals. Hence, it is imperative for the international community to collaborate and provide the necessary support to countries like ours to effectively tackle climate change and expedite the energy transition.
OBJECTIVES
The conference will serve as a platform for:
SHAPING A RESILIENT FUTURE

On day two we will focus on “Adaptation measures” where we will discuss the nexus between food security and water and touch upon the power of cultural heritage in the built environment. In the afternoon we will focus on how to conduct Climate Risk Assessments and further concretize the Regional Climate Action plan.
Participation and Collaboration
We invite stakeholders from across the Caribbean and beyond, including government representatives, NGOs, academia, the private sector, and international organizations, to participate in this crucial event.
